Introduction to Long Hikes II –// 10 September 2021
PSSST: you must be a CURIOUS, ADVENTUROUS OR DARING member to register
Since the distancing rules still apply, the challenge is the number of tents. The exception is if 2 participants living in the same residence register together. All will have to be
self-sufficient with their camping equipment, including tents and cooking equipment. The
solo hike is popular, so let’s put the emphasis on the SOLO/autonomy version of this
initiation. This is perfect for anyone who has a project in mind and wants to test themselves.
Do you want to become independent and embark on multi-day hiking adventures? Now is the time to acquire the tools and knowledge to make it happen! You can live the full experience with our guide Renée-Claude Bastien and get away from it all in the mountains.
To know: This training is recognized by Rando Québec, so you will receive a training certificate at the end of the event.
With a length of 1,650 km, the National Trail in Quebec (SNQ) is the longest natural path in Quebec dedicated to hiking, snowshoeing and Nordic skiing. From Ottawa to Gaspé, the Trail crosses no less than 9 tourist regions in Quebec: the Outaouais, Laurentians, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Quebec, Charlevoix, Manicouagan, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie.
For this initiation into long hikes, you will travel through a section of the Laurentians portion, the Mont-Gorille sector. Embark on this adventure and develop your skills in order to build your autonomy for long hikes!
